See entry below for the url. ^_^

And since I know there are only about 3 people who come to this blog anyway, I look forward to seeing you guys there, ne. You know who you are. Hehehe. ^^;

Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Yay!! Finally used my pitas blog. *pushes reader* Go visit and make a comment. There's no tag-board yet and it's not totally complete but that's basically it. ^_^

http://glacier.pitas.com

Saturday, July 26, 2003

Nyahahaha!!! I'm really, REALLY happy today!!! Wheee!!!! I'm starting to feel like a pendulum; good mood one day, bad mood the next. Oh well. *shrug*

Anyhow, the reason I'm so happy is that our batch is once again the champion in our college's sportsfest!! Yay!! We were also the champions last year, you see. ^_^ (Get ready for a boring account of the sportsfest)

But it didn't come too easily this year. Though we were the champion in the cheering competition, the other batches wiped the floor with us during the parlor games, namely the tug-of-war and the "rumble". (The rumble involves about 9 or 10 representatives from each batch. Each player ties a small balloon on one of their legs and grabs a stick of rolled up newspaper. They then try to pop the other teams' balloons by hitting it with the rolled up newspaper.)

Then, we lost to the MBA "students" in the Men's Basketball. I use the term students here loosely as these guys are working already. Besides, it's hardly fair since these guys used to be varsity players in our university. Aside from that, all of them are big. And I mean really big. the smallest guy on their team was the same size as the average guys on our team. Granted, most of the guys on our batch are relatively short compared with the other batches. Still, our guys are good basketball players. Go Seniors!!

We almost became the champions in mixed volleyball. We beat the Juniors without a problem and had a close match against the Terminals (they're the fifth year students in our college as one of the courses can only be completed in 5 years and not 4). Unfortunately, we hadn't counted on a Sophomore guy with a mean spiking ability.

The Sophomores beat us by a wide margin, but it's still satisfying to say that we didn't go down without a fight. One of our better players always manages to intercept the other team's spikes. Too bad the interceptions weren't too succesful, but there you go. ^^;

Anyway, because of what happened, we were a bit scared that we won't be the overall champions but it all worked out in the end. We remained the best batch in our college. Yay!!!

So now, as I write this, my left index finger is wrapped in a band-aid and I can't really use my hands very comfortably, thanks to the blasted rope we used in the tug-of-war. Plus, my legs are killing me!!! I was jumping around so much today that my legs are totally sore. I probably won't be able to walk comfortably tomorrow. *makes face*

But still, I'm happy and we had loads of fun today. ^_____^ Too bad this only happens once a year. On the other hand, I don't think we could survive it if this happens every month. Lol!!

Gyahahha!!! I'm so happy!!! I'll most probably be complaining all day tomorrow but it's all worth it. I hope we win again next year. Go Starbatch!!!

Thursday, July 24, 2003

I don't like the way my life is going right now. I don't know, maybe it's just the part of me that loathes accounting talking right now. Imagine, I am taking up 6 units of Advanced Accounting as well as 4 units of Auditing Theory and Practice. Add to that 3 units of Production and Operations Management, 3 units of Business Finance and 3 units of Advances Computer Methods and Applications.

Ugh. I can't imagine why I'm putting myself through this. It's just too bad I have no other skills or talents. If only I can draw well, I'd have take up Fine Arts. OR maybe Architecture. And if only I had a great voice, I'd have sang my way to fame and fortune. If I had the perfect body I'd be a ramp model.

*sigh* Why is it that some people are showered with talent while others are left wanting?

All right, so I sound like a sour-graping bitch. I don't really care at the moment. (I just KNOW I'll live to regret this blog I'm writing. *shrug* Oh well.)

Can't you just tell that I'm feeling depressed and resentful at the moment? Resentment towards who or towards what, I have no idea. I just know I need to vent. Somewhere, anywhere.

If I had a punching bag I'd have wrecked it by now. But since I don't.... I'll have to settle by bitchin' here. At least a blog won't make fun of me. I can't think of anyone else who'll hear me out and really sympathize. They're not talentless like me.

But hey, I'm alive and I have a complete set of fingers, toes and limbs. I don't have a terminal illness and I'm not suffering from mental illness too. What the heck am I complaining about, right?

I don't know. I don't understand myself. *shrug* I'll figure that out later.

Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life

Right, that's the link to the website of one of the best movies I've seen all year. ^_^ It's as good, maybe even better, than the first movie, take my word for it.

And how do I know this? Well, my organization organized the advanced screening and me and my friends watched it. I'm telling you, it's well worth the money. Plus, there are some scenes in there that will make you stop and think.

Anyhow, I'm happy to announce that I finally got my laptop!! WHEE!!! This is actually a little late since I got it a week ago. Heehehe. unfortunately, there's been too much to do so I didn't have time to blog. But now, I can finally brag about it, even if only a few people get to read this. =)

It's a great little laptop. Well, not so little as it has a 15" screen and weighs 3.2 kilograms. But that's ok as I don't plan on taking it to school. I'm not crazy you know. Public transportation isn't exactly safe.

Anyways, I recommend you guys go wacth Tomb Raider 2 as soon as it opens. I'm most probably gonna be watching it again as soon as it opens in theaters. ^_^

Wednesday, July 02, 2003

Now I'm really depressed. This is the first time I came this close to crying just because of my academic life. Ugh. I've never felt this horrible before.

Well, just wanted to write it down somewhere. Memorable day for me. Not nice, but memorable. *sigh*

Tuesday, June 24, 2003

I'm currently on the lookout for a good laptop computer. My definition of good would be a high performance one with a relatively low price. My budget as of now is about 70K-80K. I know, I know, that's utterly cheap of me but what can I say, I'm not exactly Richie Rich you know.

I'd be greatful for any tips or suggestions from anyone. But I'm not holding my breath as I know just how many people come and read this blog.

I have my eye on this Fujitsu notebook.....

Sunday, June 22, 2003

Gyahahahhaa!!!!

Finally!! After months and months of waiting.....

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is out!!!!!!!

I got my copy as early as I could. I was waiting at National Bookstore by 9:45 in the morning yesterday, armed with 1,400 bucks. ^_^

Well, I can't say much yet coz I only read through it very quickly, just to get an idea of what's happening. I'm gonna read it again. Much more slowly this time, so I can pick up some hints or what-not.

And since no one reads my blog anyway, (except maybe a few SDBC people) I might as well list down the things that happened.

But that's for another log. I need to go to bed now.

Thursday, June 19, 2003

Wheeeeee!!!!!!!! Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is FINALLY coming out on Saturday!!! Mwahahahahahaha!!!!!

I will be there at National Bookstore as soon as it opens on Saturday, with my 1345 pesos ready to buy it.

*sdrop* I know it's way expensive, but it is the hard bound version so I guess it's ok. Supposedly, it's about 1.3 kilos. Pretty hefty. But then, we should've known since it has been said, officially, that it's 1/3 longer than Goblet of Fire.

I just realized, I had no qualms whatsoever about buying HP 5 even though it costs 1345 pesos. But when it came to my school books, I was having second thougts about buying books which are about the same price. *sdrop* I am a bad person.

Thursday, June 12, 2003

So I'm back once again from the land of the dead. Hades sends his greetings. Persephone offers you a few seeds from one of her new plants. I wouldn't advise you to eat them, though. You wouldn't want to be like her; staying 6 months with Hades and the other 6 months on Earth.

I'm sorry if you had no idea what I was talking about. Frankly, I'm not sure why I said that too. Must be the combined pressure of the 19 units I'm taking this semester and being a co-chair in our organization's Membership Committee.

Speaking of which, me and my two colleagues are going to Divisoria tomorrow to look for suitable tokens to give our members and applicants this semester. To those who don't know, Divisoria is sort of a large market area that sells stuff really cheap. Lots of people go there looking for bargains but unfortunately, people with evil intent also mingle around. One must be careful in keeping one's personal belongings secure. Never bring jewelry and lots of money when going to Divisoria. One must not wear flashy clothing.

Erk. I'm talking like a freakin' robot.
